I am using the software Virtual Serial Port Emulator to assign a com port from another server an IP/port number. I would like a vm to map this ip/port number as a 'local' com port using the named pipe options in Hyper-V. Is this possible? Every time I try to map it, I get an error from MSVMM. Error (12700) VMM cannot complete the Hyper-V operation on the vms2 server because of the error: 'test' failed to modify device 'Microsoft Serial Port'.
